Login Help:

If you are having trouble logging into the EA Online Staff Directory the following may shed some light on what the issue may be.

All staff within the Faculty of Education and Arts are automatically registered with the system. Accounts are automatically created when a staff contract is processed.

This information is relevant to ECU Staff.

Username:

Your username is what is commonly refereed to as your ADS (Active Directory Services) username.

For staff, you would have been made aware of this username when you applied for ECU Internet access.

This username is also the same username that you use to access your ECU email account and login to the VPN service.

If you have forgotten your ECU ADS username you can either
Password:

Your password is the same password you set when you activated your ECU computing account. By default, unless otherwise reset, your password will be your date of birth backwards, YYYYMMDD.

If you have forgotten your password and wish to reset it, you can do so by one of the following means

This will allow both staff and students to reset their ADS password online. Please allow at least 10 minutes for the change to take effect. You will need to know your staff / student ID as well as your old password.

Phone Number Help:

The first digit of the extension determines the telephone prefix to use when calling a staff member from outside Edith Cowan University. Please note that this does not apply to advertised university numbers. See campus addresses and telephone numbers.

If calling from outside Australia, International Telephone Code + Prefix + Extension
If calling from within Australia, National Telephone Code + Prefix + Extension

Example:

  1. If the telephone extension is 5555 then it begins with 5.

  2. Using the reference table, extensions that begin with 5 have the prefix 6304.

  3. The complete telephone number when calling from off campus is 6304 5555.
