VET CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA COURSES AVAILABLE AT THE ACADEMY
Edith Cowan University operates the publicly funded Registered Training Organisation 4756 trading as the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
WAAPA and ECU offer a wide range of Certificate and Diploma courses under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) in addition to Bachelor Courses under the Higher Education System.
Certificate and Diploma courses are offered under the AQTF as Vocational Education and Training (VET). Certificates provide performers with a broad introduction to a specialist area. Diploma qualifications are designed to satisfy industry demand for graduates with specific knowledge and skills.
On completion of a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma course students may audition for other courses within WAAPA. The qualification may provide advanced standing when enrolling in a relevant VET qualification and Bachelor degree but admission to all WAAPA courses is competitive and by audition /interview only so the qualification will not guarantee entry.
